Product details

Overview

The TM251MESC is a Schneider Modicon M251 logic controller with 64 MB system RAM and 8 MB program memory, running on 24 V DC supply. It carries dual Ethernet ports (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX), USB, RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, and CANopen, and is rated for 15 gn 11 ms shock. The serial link supply is 5 V at less than 200 mA, sourced externally via the removable screw terminal block (5.08 mm pitch). No on-board I/O — this is a pure logic controller for distributed I/O over fieldbus.

Compared to the TM241CE40T, the TM251MESC has 64 MB system RAM versus 8 MB, but no on-board discrete I/O — the TM241CE40T carries 40 I/O points including 4 fast inputs at 200 kHz. The TM251MESC is the right choice when you need large program memory and fieldbus networking, not local I/O density.
