Schneider Modicon TM3AI8 analog input module carrying 8 channels configurable for ±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, or 4–20 mA signals. Resolution is 12 bits; for bipolar voltage the 11 bits plus sign gives you 2.44 mV LSB on the 0–10 V range and 4.88 mV on the ±10 V range; current inputs resolve to 3.91 µA (4–20 mA) or 4.88 µA (0–20 mA). Conversion time runs 1 ms base plus 1 ms per active channel plus one controller cycle time – plan your loop update accordingly for a full 8-channel scan. Absolute accuracy is ±1% of full scale across temperature, tightening to ±0.2% at 25 °C. Power budget: draws 40 mA from the 5 V backplane rail at full load, 35 mA at no load; the 24 V auxiliary rail adds 40 mA when all inputs are active. The 5 V draw leaves headroom for two additional TM3 slices in a typical 500 mA bus budget.
Mounts on DIN rail (IEC 60715) or plate with fixing kit. Removable screw terminal blocks with 3.81 mm pitch, accepting up to 1.5 mm² wire. Use twisted shielded pair cable, max 30 m run per input. Cross-talk stays ≤1 LSB. The module meets IEC 61131-2 for industrial environments, carries CE marking, and is rated IP20.
