8-output transistor module for Modicon TM3 rack
The TM3DQ8UG is an 8-channel transistor output module in the Modicon TM3 family, delivering 24 VDC sink outputs at 50 mA per channel. It mounts directly on the TM3 backplane and draws power from the internal bus — no separate supply needed for the output stage. Switching response is 450 µs turn-on and turn-off, suited for valve banks, indicator lamps, or PLC-driven contactor coils where fast cycle times aren't critical. Outputs are negative logic (sink), so the load connects between +24 V and the output terminal. Confirm your field device common matches sink configuration before wiring.
The module footprint is 27.4 mm wide by 90 mm tall by 84.6 mm deep, taking one slot on the TM3 rail. Mounts on TH35-7.5 or TH35-15 DIN rail, or panel-mount with the optional fixing kit. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or stranded wire, with a 5.08 mm pitch. Unshielded cable runs up to 30 m from the module to the last output device. Status for each channel is indicated by a green LED, aiding commissioning and fault isolation at the panel.
Rated for industrial environments: IP20, pollution degree 2, operating temperature -10 to 55 °C horizontal (or -10 to 35 °C vertical), and 3.5 mm / 3 gn vibration on DIN rail. Storage range -25 to 70 °C. Holds CE marking and is designed to IEC 61131-2. MTBF of 170 years at 40 °C reflects solid-state transistor reliability. Lifecycle status is active.
