The TM5SBET7 is a Modicon TM5 remote transmitter module that pushes the bus out to IP67 enclosures. It carries the Modbus serial link up to 2500 m, drawing 25 mA from the 24 V I/O supply and 100 mA from the 5 V bus – low enough you won't rebudget the power supply. Housing is white, narrow at 12.5 mm, so it tucks into tight rail runs without hogging space.
Installing it
Mounts on DIN rail, rated IP20 and IP67. Ambient temp range 0 to 60 °C with derating (horizontal) or 0 to 55 °C without. Shock rated 15 gn, vibration 1 gn. LEDs: green for 24 V, red for power fault, yellow for bus activity.
Paperwork for the panel
Comes with CE marking, and is certified to UL 508, CSA C22.2 No. 142, CSA C22.2 No. 213, and IEC 61131-2. That covers most North American and European panel builds right out of the box – no extra certification chase. Pollution degree 2, so fine for controlled environment inside the enclosure. Storage temp down to -25 °C; if the module sits in an unheated warehouse over winter, it'll be fine.
