Overview

The TM5SDI4A is a Schneider Modicon TM5 discrete input module, order code TM5SDI4A, providing 4 digital inputs rated for 100-240 V AC. The module is rated IP20 for in-cabinet use and carries CE, UL, and CSA marks.

Each of the four inputs accepts 100-240 V AC line signals — typical for sensing limit switches, pushbuttons, or proximity sensors on AC control circuits. The hardware input filter from state 0 to state 1 is fixed at 40 ms, with a configurable software filter down to 25 ms; the hardware filter from state 1 to state 0 is 30 ms. This filtering rejects contact bounce and electrical noise common in industrial environments. Isolation between channel and bus is rated at 2500 V AC for 1 minute; there is no isolation between individual channels. The module meets EMC immunity levels including 4 kV contact ESD per EN/IEC 61000-4-2, 10 V/m radiated field immunity from 80-2000 MHz, and 2 kV fast transient on power lines.
