TM5SE1RS2 is an isolated RS232 ASCII serial link communication module for the Modicon TM5 distributed I/O platform. One isolated serial link on a female SUB-D 9, Modbus ASCII protocol, running up to 115.2 kbit/s.

Width is 0.5 in (12.5 mm) — one slot on the backplane. Depth 3.0 in (75 mm), height 3.9 in (99 mm). Operating temperature range 32 to 131 °F (0 to 55 °C) horizontal without derating; up to 140 °F (60 °C) with derating. Vertical installation drops the top end to 122 °F (50 °C). Altitude limit 2000 m, pollution degree 2, shock rated 15 gn for 11 ms.
CE marked, UL 508, CSA C22.2 No 213, and IEC 61131-2 listed. Suitable for industrial control panels in North American and European installs.
