The VW3A11404 is a three-phase EMC input filter from the Altivar 11 accessory family, designed to sit on the line side of a variable speed drive — specifically the ATV11 drive series. It cleans conducted emissions from the drive's input so the installation meets EN 61800-3 Category C2 or C3 limits, depending on cable length and grounding.
This filter mounts between the supply and the drive input. Panel builders typically land it on a DIN rail inside the enclosure, close to the drive's line terminals — long input cables between filter and drive defeat the common-mode attenuation.
