What this card does in the drive
The VW3A3316 is an Ethernet IP communication card that plugs into ATV71 variable speed drives, adding a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. It lets the drive talk directly to a PLC or SCADA over a standard industrial Ethernet network — no gateway, no protocol converter between the drive and the controller.
Snaps into the drive's option slot — no separate enclosure, no DIN rail space consumed. The port faces outward for a standard patch cable. Firmware version on the drive must support the option; check the drive's firmware release notes before slotting this card into a legacy ATV61 that hasn't seen a firmware update in years.
