The VW3A3318 is a METASYS N2 communication card for Altivar variable-speed drives, connecting via a removable 4-way screw terminal and providing two status LEDs — one for network traffic (COM), one for fault (ERR).
This card plugs into the option slot of an Altivar drive and maps the drive's control word and reference to the METASYS N2 protocol. The graphic display terminal on the drive shows the control word received and the reference received.
