Communication card for Altivar 61 Plus — METASYS N2
The VW3A3E313 is a METASYS N2 communication card that plugs into an Altivar 61 Plus variable speed drive, letting the drive talk to a building automation system over the N2 bus. It connects through a standard 9-way female SUB-D connector — the same DB9 you see on RS-232 serial ports — so the field wiring is straightforward with a shielded twisted-pair drop. Two LEDs on the face give you the network health at a glance: one for COM (network traffic) and one for ERR (fault). The graphic display terminal also lights for control word received and reference received, so you can see the drive talking to the BAS without cracking open the panel software.
