The Schneider VW3A46101 is a passive harmonic filter designed to reduce current harmonics on the input side of variable speed drives. It's rated at 6 A input and 6.2 A output, on a 400 V +/- 10 % three-phase supply, and mounts one per drive for motors from 0.75 kW up to 3 kW across the ATV61, ATV71, ATV630, ATV650, ATV930, and ATV950 families.
Lifecycle reality — obsolete, but sourced
Schneider lists the VW3A46101 as obsolete.
The filter is IP20 rated for panel mounting, with an IP55 option when enclosure-mounted. Above 1000 m altitude, derate 5 % per additional 1000 m. Terminals accept 0.5 to 10 mm² on the main power connections and 2.5 mm² on the control terminals — spring-cage, so strip length and ferrule sizing matter for a clean install. Vibration resistance is tested to IEC 60068-2-6: 2 mm peak-to-peak from 5 to 13.2 Hz, and 0.7 gn from 13.2 to 150 Hz. That's standard for industrial panel mounting on a machine frame or wall.
