The VW3A46115A is a passive harmonic filter sized for the Schneider Electric ATV610 variable speed drive family, rated for a 132 kW / 178 hp motor at 380–480 V three-phase. It mounts inside an IP20 enclosure and connects via busbar (150 mm²) for the main power path and terminals (35 mm²) for the DC bus, plus smaller terminals (0.5–4 mm²) for the filter control wiring. One filter per drive is required.
The headline THDI of 10 % means this filter reduces input current total harmonic distortion to 10% when paired with the ATV610 — a typical drive without filtering can exceed 30% THDI. That 10% figure keeps the installation within IEEE 519 guidelines for most industrial sites and avoids nuisance tripping of upstream protection. Efficiency is 98 %, so only 2% of the pass-through power is lost as heat; the 711 W thermal loss figure is what the enclosure ventilation must handle at full load. Rated input current is 197 A, output current 271 A. The asymmetry is normal for a passive filter — the input side sees the fundamental plus reactive component, while the output side carries the full motor current. The supply frequency is 50 Hz ± 2 %, so this filter is for 50 Hz grids only; do not use on 60 Hz without verifying the drive's compatibility. Above 45 °C the filter must be derated per the thermal curve in the installation manual. Storage range is -25 to 85 °C in original packaging.
The filter carries UL 61800-5-1 and IEC 61800-5-1 certifications — these are the adjustable-speed drive system safety standards covering electrical, thermal, and energy hazards. Electrical insulation is Class N, meaning the insulation system is rated for 380–480 V without additional creepage or clearance derating.
