It knocks total harmonic current distortion (THDI) down to 10 % across that range, which keeps the installation inside IEC 61000-3-4 and IEC 61000-3-12 limits — no active front end needed, no extra cabinet space for a multi-pulse transformer. Rated 450 A output at 400 V +/- 10 %, 50 Hz. One filter per drive covers the 250 kW/400 hp frames; the 500 kW/700 hp frames need two in parallel. That per-drive quantity is baked into the BOM — don't order singles for the big frames and expect one to carry the load.

What the ratings mean in the panel
