The VW3A46128 is a passive harmonic filter for Altivar drives at 37 kW / 50 hp. It reduces current harmonics to meet IEC 61000-2-4 and G5/4 limits. Rated 72 A input / 75 A output at 400 V +/- 10 %, 50 Hz +/- 2 %. THDI is 10 % with ATV61H, ATV71H, and ATV71W drives, and 5 % with the ATV61W variant. Efficiency is 98 %, with 688 W thermal losses. One filter per drive is required — no shared filtering across multiple drives. The filter's power factor compensation is non-linear: cos φ of 1 at 150 % line current, 0.85 at 75 % load, and 0.99 at full load, so the drive's own DC-bus charging profile still dictates the real reactive draw at light load.

IP20 rated as a standalone unit; IP55 when enclosure-mounted. The filter uses two terminal blocks: a 2.5 mm² connection for the control/auxiliary wiring (X1-1...X2-3) and a 50 mm² power terminal for the main conductors. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: 2 mm peak-to-peak at 5–13.2 Hz, 0.7 gn at 13.2–150 Hz. Operating temperature range is 5–45 °C without derating, and 45–60 °C with 3 % per °C current derating — so if the panel ambient runs above 45 °C, the 75 A output rating drops. Storage in original packaging at -25 to 55 °C; transport tolerance up to 65 °C.
