The VW3A46132 is a passive harmonic filter from Schneider Electric's Altivar range, built to knock line-current THDI down to 5 % when paired with the right drive. It's rated 187 A output, 400 V ±10 %, 50 Hz three-phase, and pulls 1.5× nominal current for 60 s without tripping. Efficiency sits at 98 %; the 1080 W thermal loss at full load tells you what the panel ventilation needs to handle.
Drive pairing and THDI performance
This filter delivers 5 % THDI on ATV630 and ATV650 drives up to 75 kW/100 hp, and on ATV61H, ATV71H, ATV61Q, ATV71Q drives up to 110 kW/150 hp. It also covers ATV930 and ATV950 drives at 75 kW/100 hp. One filter per drive — no sharing across multiple units. The power factor varies with load: 0.99 at full load, 0.85 at 75 % load, and unity at 150 % line current.
Rated IP20 as a standalone unit, IP55 when enclosure-mounted. Operating temperature range is 5…45 °C without derating; above that, derate 3 % per °C up to 60 °C. Storage tolerance is -25…55 °C in original packaging, -25…65 °C during transport. For altitudes above 1000 m, derate current 5 % per additional 1000 m, up to 4000 m. Vibration resistance follows IEC 60068-2-6: 2 mm peak-to-peak at 5…13.2 Hz, 0.7 gn at 13.2…150 Hz. Class F insulation throughout.
Wiring and connections
Power terminals X1-1 through X2-3 accept 2.5…90 mm² conductors; the A and B signal terminals take 2.5 mm². Relative humidity range is 5…85 % without condensation.
