What this filter does for the drive line
The VW3A46133 is a passive filter that knocks current harmonics down to 5 % THDI for Altivar drives — ATV630, ATV930, ATV650, ATV950 at 90 kW/125 hp, and ATV61H, ATV71H, ATV61Q, ATV71Q at 132 kW/200 hp. That 5 % figure is measured at the drive's rated load, so it keeps the line side clean enough to meet IEC 61000-3-12 and G5/4 engineering recommendation without an active front end. Rated 217 A input, 225 A output at 400 V +/- 10 %, three-phase, 50 Hz. Efficiency runs 98 %, with 1194 W thermal losses to vent. One filter per drive — no sharing across multiple units.
Sizing and thermal margin
Ambient operating range is 5…45 °C with no derating; above that, derate 3 % per °C up to 60 °C. That 1194 W loss figure matters for enclosure sizing — in a sealed panel it adds real heat. Mounting is IP20 (open) or IP55 in an enclosure; vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 (2 mm peak-to-peak at 5…13.2 Hz, 0.7 gn at 13.2…150 Hz).
