The VW3A46147 is a passive filter designed to reduce current harmonics on Altivar variable-speed drives. It is rated for 60 A input and 62 A output at 480 V +/- 10 %, 60 Hz, and is intended for three-phase networks. The filter achieves 98 % efficiency with 352 W thermal losses, and it handles 1.5 x nominal current for 60 seconds. It is compatible one-per-drive with ATV61W, ATV61H, ATV71H, ATV71W, ATV650 wall-mount, ATV630 wall-mount, ATV950 wall-mount, and ATV930 wall-mount drives for 37 kW / 50 hp motors. The THDI varies by drive model: 10 % for ATV61W, ATV650, ATV630, ATV950, and ATV930; 16 % for ATV61H, ATV71H, and ATV71W. Power factor (cos phi) is 1 at 150 % line current, 0.99 at 100 % line current, and 0.85 at 75 % line current. Operating temperature range is 5 to 45 °C without derating, and up to 60 °C with 3 % derating per °C above 45 °C.
The filter complies with IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-2-4, IEC 61000-3-12, G5/4 engineering recommendation, IEC 61000-3-4, and IEC 61000-2-2. It carries IP20 protection (IP55 when enclosure-mounted) and is rated Class F insulation. Vibration resistance is 2 mm peak-to-peak at 5–13.2 Hz and 0.7 gn at 13.2–150 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6.
Installation notes
Terminal connections: A/B terminals accept 2.5 mm²; X1-1 through X2-3 terminals accept 2.5 to 50 mm². Operating altitude above 1000 m requires 5 % current derating per 1000 m up to 4000 m. Storage temperature is -25 to 55 °C in original packaging, -25 to 65 °C during transport. Relative humidity range is 5 to 85 % without condensation.
