The VW3A4624 is a passive filter sized for Altivar drives in the 15 kW / 20 hp class — ATV61HD15N4, ATV61WD15N4, ATV71HD15N4, ATV71WD15N4, and the ATV61WD15N4C variant. It knocks line current harmonics down to 10 % THDI on the ATV61H and ATV71H motors, and further to 5 % THDI on the ATV61W motors. Rated at 26 A continuous, 400 V +/- 10 %, 50 Hz three-phase. The filter draws near-unity power factor — cos phi hits 0.99 at full load, 1.0 at 150 % line current, and 0.85 at light load (75 %). That's the power-factor correction working across the operating band, not just at one sweet spot. Efficiency is 98 %, so you lose about 2 % of the pass-through energy as heat. That's typical for a passive harmonic trap — the trade-off for not needing an active front end.
The terminal block accepts up to 50 mm² cable, which is generous for 26 A and tells you the filter is built for low voltage drop on the line side. One filter per drive; no daisy-chaining multiple drives off a single unit. Operating altitude derating kicks in above 1000 m: 5 % current reduction per additional 1000 m. If the panel sits at 3000 m, plan for roughly 10 % headroom on the 26 A rating. Relative humidity range is 5 to 85 % non-condensing.
