The Schneider VW3A4625 is a passive filter for Altivar variable speed drives, sized at 35 A rated current on a 400 V three-phase supply. It is designed to reduce current harmonics on the line side of the drive — one filter per drive for the listed ATV61 and ATV71 models at 18.5 kW / 25 hp. THDI performance depends on the specific drive model: 10 % for ATV61HD18N4 and ATV71HD18N4 (H-frame), 5 % for ATV61WD18N4 and ATV61WD18N4C (W-frame). Efficiency is rated at 98 %, and the filter can handle up to 1.5 x nominal current transiently. Power factor correction is inherent: cos phi reaches 0.99 at 100 % line current, 0.85 at 75 %, and unity (1) at 150 % of line current. The filter uses Class F insulation and connects via a terminal block accepting up to 50 mm² conductors.
If your customer's approved vendor list (AVL) requires a direct drop-in, a deviation request may be needed to qualify an alternate harmonic filter from the Altivar accessory family.
Mounts as a line-side add-on between the mains supply and the drive input. IP20 enclosure suits clean, indoor panel environments — no washdown rating. Operating temperature range is 5...40 °C without derating; above 40 °C up to 55 °C, derate current by 3 % per °C. Altitude derating applies above 1000 m at 5 % per 1000 m. Relative humidity must stay within 5...85 % without condensation. Storage temperature range is -25...55 °C. The 50 Hz supply frequency must be within ±5 %.
