The Schneider VW3A4629 is a passive filter designed to reduce current harmonics from Altivar variable speed drives. It mounts inline on the line side of the drive, rated for 144 A continuous at 400 V three-phase, 50 Hz. The filter achieves 98% efficiency and delivers a THDI of 10% for 75 kW drives (ATV61HD75N4, ATV71HD75N4, ATV71WD75N4) and 5% for 90 kW drives (ATV61HD90N4, ATV61WD75N4, ATV61WD75N4C, ATV61WD90N4, ATV61WD90N4C, ATV71HD90N4, ATV71WD90N4). One filter per drive — no sharing across multiple units.
Electrical characteristics and derating
The power factor varies with load: cos φ is 1 at 150% of line current, 0.99 at 100%, and 0.85 at 75%. Maximum current is 1.5 times nominal. Operating temperature range is 5 to 40 °C without derating; above 40 °C up to 55 °C, derate 3% per °C. Above 1000 m altitude, derate 5% per 1000 m up to 4000 m. Relative humidity 5 to 85% non-condensing. Class F insulation. Storage temperature -25 to 55 °C.
IP20 rated, intended for enclosure mounting. Electrical connection via bare wires, 12.5 mm diameter. Three-phase input. The filter is sized for one drive per unit — match to the specific Altivar model (ATV61 or ATV71, H or W frame, 75 or 90 kW) to ensure correct THDI performance.
