The Schneider VW3A4676 is a passive harmonic filter designed for Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 variable-speed drives. Its job is to knock down current harmonics drawn by the drive to 5 % THDI when paired with ATV61HC13N4 (132 kW/200 hp motor), ATV61HC25N4 (250 kW/400 hp), ATV71HC13N4 (132 kW/200 hp), or ATV71HC25N4 (250 kW/400 hp). That 5 % THDI figure means the filter brings the drive's input current distortion well below IEEE 519-2014 recommended limits for most industrial service entrances — no need for a 12-pulse or active front end on these frame sizes. Rated for 217 A continuous at 480 V ±10 %, 60 Hz ±5 %, three-phase input. Efficiency hits 98 %, so only about 2 % of the pass-through power is lost as heat. Power factor correction is built in: cos φ sits at 0.99 at full load, 0.85 at 75 % load, and unity (1.0) at 150 % of line current — useful for meeting utility PF penalties on larger pump and fan drives. The filter is IP20 rated — intended for enclosure mounting, not exposed washdown. Ambient operation is 5...40 °C without derating; above that, derate 3 % per °C up to 55 °C. Altitude derating kicks in above 1000 m at 5 % per 1000 m. Installation is straightforward: bare-wire connection up to 16.5 mm diameter, one filter per drive on the smaller frames, two in parallel for the 250 kW units.
