The Schneider VW3A7264 is a line filter module (LFM) designed as a component of the Active Front End (AFE) system, paired with one or two Active Infeed Converters (AIC) in the VW3A7273–VW3A7278 range. It supplies control electronics for the AIC and inverter, plus a 24 V DC fan that can serve the AIC and up to four inverters of the same power class on a 500–690 V AC three-phase network. Rated for 430 kW and 360 A at 50 °C, it handles the line-side filtering and power distribution for a multi-drive AFE section. The 560 W thermal losses are dissipated by natural convection — no forced-air fan on the module itself, which simplifies panel cooling design but means the 1100 mm × 290 mm × 390 mm (H×W×D) built-in unit needs free air space around it.
Schneider has classified the VW3A7264 as Obsolete.
Integration and mounting notes
Electrical connections are via M10 busbars (accepting up to 2 × 150 mm² per phase on both line and load sides) and a PE bar (95 mm², 24 N·m torque). The control terminal strip (X1:1–X1:6) uses 2.5 mm² wire at 0.6–0.8 N·m. Operating altitude derating applies above 1000 m: 1 % current reduction per 100 m up to 2400 m. Ambient temperature range is –10 to +45 °C (or –10 to +60 °C with 2 % per °C derating). Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1 means the module is suited for clean, non-conductive environments typical of a controlled electrical enclosure. Shock and vibration ratings (7 gn / 11 ms shock, 1.5 mm at 3–10 Hz / 0.6 gn at 10–200 Hz vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 and -27) are standard for industrial drive cabinets. Maximum switching rate is 10 per hour — relevant if the AFE is cycled on/off frequently.
