GG45 is a hybrid connector that accepts both standard RJ45 plugs and the proprietary GG45 keyed plug. On the Altivar Process Modular, the drive-side receptacle is GG45-only — a standard RJ45 patch cable will not latch. The cable is a single-piece assembly (one cable, one connector each end) with no field-terminable option.
