The VW3AE0624 is a motor choke from Schneider Electric's Altivar 71 Plus and Altivar 61 Plus drive families, designed as a protection accessory for floor-standing enclosures with separate air flows or compact versions.
The choke mounts inside the Altivar floor-standing enclosure, between the drive output and the motor cable. Its job is to limit the rate of voltage rise (dV/dt) at the motor terminals, reducing reflected-wave stress on long cable runs — a common concern when the drive and motor are separated by more than about 50 meters of shielded cable.
