What the VW3AE0629 does in the drive system
This motor choke installs on the output side of the drive, between the inverter and the motor. Its job is to limit the rate of voltage rise (dV/dt) and reduce reflected-wave peaks on long cable runs — a common requirement when the motor is more than 50 meters from the drive cabinet. The choke mounts inside the Altivar floor-standing enclosure, not as a standalone panel component. Verify the enclosure variant (separate air flows or compact) matches the destination listed in the specification before committing the BOM line.
