The Schneider VW3AE0653 is a sinus filter designed for Altivar 61 Plus and Altivar 71 Plus drives. It goes on the output side of the drive to clean up the PWM waveform, reducing motor bearing currents and acoustic noise. This one is built for the floor-standing enclosure variant with separate air flows, or the compact version of the drive.
That means Schneider still manufactures it, but it is a well-established design — no imminent EOL notice on this line.
This filter is specifically for Altivar floor-standing enclosures with separate air flows, or the compact version of the drive. It bolts into the cabinet alongside the drive, not at the motor end. The sinus filter sits on the drive output, between the inverter and the motor cable, to suppress high-frequency switching artifacts.
