The VW3AP0304 is an IP54 conformity kit for Schneider Altivar Process ATV600 and ATV900 compact drive systems rated 560 to 630 kW. It raises the standard enclosure protection to IP54, sealing against dust ingress and water spray — the threshold for most indoor industrial environments where washdown or airborne particulates are a concern. The kit comprises two upper air ducts, one lower air duct, and a 200 mm plinth. These direct cooling airflow through the drive enclosure while maintaining the sealed boundary. Without this kit, the drive ships at a lower IP rating; the VW3AP0304 is the field-installed upgrade to IP54.
Integration note
The kit is designed for compact drive systems — specifically the Altivar Process ATV600 and ATV900 series in the 560–630 kW power band. The 200 mm plinth provides the vertical clearance needed for the bottom cable entry and airflow path. The upper and lower air ducts route exhaust and intake air through the IP54 boundary without compromising the seal.
