The VW3AP0305 is an IP54 conformity kit for Schneider Altivar Process ATV600 and ATV900 compact drive systems rated 710 to 800 kW. It raises the standard enclosure protection to IP54, meaning the drive assembly can be deployed in environments with dust and water spray — think washdown areas, outdoor shelters, or food-processing zones where a standard IP20 drive would need a separate cabinet. The kit comprises two upper air ducts, one lower air duct, and a 200 mm plinth. These components manage airflow routing and cable entry while maintaining the sealed integrity of the IP54 rating.
Sourcing constraint — not a standalone item
This part cannot be ordered alone. It is only available in combination with a standard enclosure. For a BOM line, that means the VW3AP0305 must be specified alongside the drive enclosure — it is not a retrofit kit you can add later to an existing panel. Plan the enclosure selection at the same time as the drive.
Integration note for panel builders
The plinth height of 200 mm provides clearance for bottom cable entry and airflow intake. The upper ducts exhaust heat from the drive's top-mounted fans. When mounting, ensure the plinth is fitted before the drive is placed on the enclosure base — the ducts align with the drive's ventilation grilles, so any misalignment reduces cooling effectiveness and could trigger overtemperature faults on a 710-800 kW drive.
