The VW3AP3422 is an analog encoder interface module for the Altivar drive family. It accepts SinCos Hiperface 1 Vpp signals from the encoder head, passing position and temperature data back to the drive over the Data+/Data- line. This is a field-fit option card, not a standalone device — the evidence states it cannot be ordered alone and requires a standard enclosure (the drive chassis) for mounting.

The module handles the full SinCos Hiperface signal set: Sin, RefSin, Cos, RefCos, plus the serial Data+/Data- lines and a temperature channel (Temp+/Temp-).
