Cable assembly for Lexium 62 ILM to distribution box D2
The VW3E1146R130 is a shielded hybrid motor cable within the PacDrive 3 range, purpose-built to connect a Lexium 62 ILM servo drive to a distribution box D2. The 13 m length covers typical cabinet-to-machine distances on a single run without a junction. The RJ45 D2 connector uses an elbowed shape — that 90° exit keeps the cable profile low against the drive housing, which matters when the gland plate is tight or the cabinet door clearance is marginal.
Shielding and signal integrity
This is a shielded motor cable, not a plain power pair. The shield carries the motor ground and contains the PWM-induced common-mode currents that would otherwise radiate into nearby encoder or fieldbus lines. On a Lexium 62 ILM installation, the shield termination at both ends (drive end and distribution box end) must land on the designated PE clamp — a floating shield at either side will nullify the EMC benefit. Per the PacDrive 3 wiring practice, the elbowed RJ45 D2 connector's metal housing provides 360° shield contact; verify the mating receptacle has the corresponding spring clip before final torque.
