Integration fit and connector orientation
The D0 straight connector plugs into the distribution box; the D2 elbow exits at 90°, which keeps the bend radius tight against the drive module face. In a crowded cabinet this matters — the elbow lets you dress the cable flat along the backplane instead of looping out into the wiring channel.
