What This Cordset Does
The VW3M94CR15 is a 15-meter STO (Safe Torque Off) cordset for the Lexium 32i servo drive family, terminated with an M8 male connector on one end and an M8 female on the other. The 4 x 0.34 mm² conductors carry the safety circuit that removes drive torque per IEC 61800-5-2 — the functional-safety standard for adjustable-speed drives. On a Lexium 32i, this cordset connects the STO input on the drive to the safety relay or PLC output, so a line-down situation means the safety loop is broken and the motor cannot re-energize until the cordset is replaced.
Schneider has marked the VW3M94CR15 as obsolete. If you are freezing a new design, the Lexium 32i family uses standard M8 safety cordsets; a parametric match on cable length, pin count, and STO wiring is the replacement path, but there is no single drop-in order code from Schneider.
Fit and Integration Notes
The M8 male connector plugs into the Lexium 32i drive's STO port; the M8 female end connects to the safety output module. At 15 m, this cordset covers longer panel-to-machine distances than the standard 3 m or 5 m options — useful when the drive cabinet is floor-mounted and the motor is on a gantry or conveyor several meters away. The 4 x 0.34 mm² conductors handle the low-current safety signal; no special derating is needed for the run length at 24 VDC safety levels.
