The VW3SKLNM10H030 is a 3-phase line choke from the Altivar range, rated for 1000 A continuous with 0.03 mH inductance. It's designed to reduce current harmonics on the input side of a variable-frequency drive — the inductance smooths the current waveform, lowering THD into the drive's DC bus. The 242 W thermal loss figure tells you what the panel ventilation needs to shed; at 1000 A, that's the heat load from the choke alone, not counting the drive.
IP00 means no enclosure — it's an open-frame choke for cabinet mounting. The 60 s overload rating (1.5 x nominal current) gives the drive a short-term current cushion during acceleration or momentary overloads, but the choke itself needs clearance from heat-sensitive components given the 242 W dissipation. Mount it on the line side, between the mains and the drive input, to filter harmonics before they reach the rectifier.
