Schneider TeSys WB1EA380 127V AC Contactor Coil, Obsolete

The Schneider Electric TeSys WB1EA380 is a low-consumption contactor coil rated for 127 V AC control voltage at 50...400 Hz. It is designed specifically for the CV1B and CV3B contactor frames — the coil is the service part that makes those contactors pull in and hold. Coil resistance measures 156.3 Ohm at 68 °F (20 °C). Inrush power draw is 85...180 VA across the 50...400 Hz range at the same temperature; once sealed, hold-in power drops to 0.3...0.75 W. That low hold-in consumption is the defining feature of the low-consumption coil type — it keeps the coil cool and reduces the burden on the control transformer in a panel with multiple contactors. Operating time is 9 ms sealed, and the coil is rated for 1,200,000 mechanical cycles at a maximum operating rate of 120 cycles per minute at 131 °F (55 °C). The control voltage limits are 0.85...1.1 Uc at 50...400 Hz below 131 °F — so the coil will reliably pick up at 108 V AC and drop out above 140 V AC, which gives a decent margin on a nominal 120 V control bus.
