The coil type is low consumption, and the control circuit accepts both AC and DC supply — a useful flexibility when the control voltage source is not purely sinusoidal.

If the CV1B or CV3B contactor itself is being replaced, the entire contactor assembly may need to be swapped to a current TeSys model with a compatible coil.
