The Schneider Electric TeSys WB1KB122 is a low-consumption contactor coil designed for the TeSys range of contactors. It operates on a dual-rated control circuit: 240 V AC at 50-400 Hz or 220-250 V DC, with a sealed operating time of 25 ms and mechanical durability rated at 1,200,000 cycles. The coil draws inrush power between 380-1400 W depending on the number of poles, but hold-in consumption drops to just 0.15-1.6 W — the low-consumption design that keeps the panel cool and reduces continuous draw on the control transformer.
The 240 V AC / 220-250 V DC control voltage means this coil drops into any panel with a standard 240 V control transformer or a 220 V DC bus — common in European and Asian installations. The 25 ms sealed operating time is fast enough for most motor-starting and switching applications, but the maximum operating rate of 120 cycles per minute at 55 °C sets a ceiling for high-speed pick-and-place or indexing lines; sustained faster cycling risks overheating the coil. The 1.2 million mechanical cycles give a solid service life for a contactor in a typical conveyor or pump panel — roughly 5-8 years at moderate duty before the coil or contactor assembly needs attention.
This coil mounts directly onto the TeSys D or TeSys F contactor frame — no adapter bracket needed. The low hold-in power (0.15-1.6 W) means minimal heat rise inside the enclosure, so derating for adjacent components is less of a concern than with standard coils. Verify the control circuit voltage matches the coil rating before installation; the 137-151 V control circuit voltage limits are the dropout and pickup thresholds, not the nominal supply.
