Rotary head limit switch with spring-return roller lever
The XCKJ110541H7 is a heavy-duty limit switch from the Schneider Electric OSISENSE XC family, built around a rotary head with a spring-return roller lever actuator. The actuator uses a thermoplastic variable-length lever, giving some adjustment in the arm reach for positioning against cam profiles or machine stops. It carries a single 1 C/O (changeover) contact block rated 10 A at 600 V, with specific duty-cycle ratings of 3 A at 240 V in AC-15 (inductive load, typical for contactor coils) and 0.27 A at 250 V in DC-13 (solenoid/brake loads). The AC-15 rating maps to utilization category A300 per IEC 60947-5-1 appendix A; the DC-13 rating maps to Q300.
Enclosure, sealing, and mechanical endurance
Vibration resistance is 25 GN at 10–500 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6, and shock resistance is 50 GN for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27 — numbers that confirm it holds position on a punch press or conveyor transfer station without false triggering.
Wiring and mounting constraints
Connection is via screw-clamp terminals accepting 1 x 0.75 mm² to 2 x 1.5 mm² wire — standard for control-circuit runs. The switch mounts by the body, not by a separate bracket or flange, so the panel or machine frame must provide the mounting holes at the body footprint. Body dimensions are 36 mm x 43 mm x 84 mm, with the 84 mm being the depth including the rotary head and lever. The plug-in body design (metal housing) allows the switch head to be rotated in 90° increments for four actuator-entry orientations without rewiring.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
Approvals include CSA C22.2 No. 14, UL 508, IEC 60947-5-1, EN 60947-5-1, and CCC — covering North American, European, and Chinese regulatory jurisdictions. The closed-contact resistance is specified at 25 mΩ per IEC 60255-7 category 3, which is the benchmark for verifying contact condition during commissioning.
