The Telemecanique XCKMR54D1H29 is a general duty compact limit switch with a metal body and IP66 / NEMA 1/2/4/6/6P/12/13 enclosure. Its 4NC slow make/break contact configuration means all four contacts are normally closed – they open only when the actuator is operated. That's a fit check for circuits that need a closed-loop status on idle, like safety interlocks or position monitoring. Contact ratings are 240 VAC 3 A and 250 VDC 0.27 A, so it's for control-level signals, not power switching. Operating force is 0.5 N-m, and the crossed rotary lever (square rod) gives a defined snap action on approach from multiple angles.
Mounting & wiring
Connection is via an ISO M20 x 1.5 cable gland and screw clamp terminals. Strip the cable, land the wires, torque to spec. The metal body grounds through the mounting screws – no separate earth terminal on the switch. Temperature range is -25 to 70 °C, so keep it out of direct steam or oven exhaust. The 4NC contacts are all the same: slow make/break, rated for the listed AC/DC loads. If your circuit expects normally open, you'll need a different head or switch model.
