What the Category Tells You
Medium Duty Limit Switches occupy the middle of the mechanical switch range — heavier than a miniature snap-action, lighter than a heavy-duty foundry switch. They are the standard choice for conveyor diverters, packaging-machine gate positions, and general machine-tool travel limits where the actuation force and mechanical life fall between light-duty and severe-service classes. The XCKP2511P16 carries the Square D Sensors & Safety brand, which is the same engineering lineage as the Telemecanique XCKP series familiar to panel builders.
Integration Note
Mounts to a standard limit-switch bracket or machine frame via the body's slotted holes. The actuator type (plunger, roller lever, or rod) is specified by the full order code; the XCKP2511P16 uses a specific actuator that determines the operating travel and overtravel. Wiring is through the cable entry — no DIN-rail footprint, no backplane slot. Verify the actuator matches your cam profile before panel assembly.
