The Square D XCPR2502N12 is a compact plastic limit switch from the Osiswitch line, built for general duty in wet or dusty environments. Rated IP66 and IP67, it seals against hose-down and temporary submersion — a spec to trust when the panel sees washdown cycles or outdoor exposure. Contact rating is 240 VAC at 3 A, and 250 VDC at 0.27 A — the DC figure is the one that catches people out. That 0.27 A limit governs any DC control circuit; don't assume the AC number carries over. The steel roller plunger actuator gives a positive mechanical stroke with 3.1 mm pretravel and 5.2 mm total travel, spring-return operation. Contact configuration is 1NO-1NC slow make/break, suitable for safety interlock circuits where positive opening is required.
