Shielded M8 sensor with 3mm flush range
This XS108B3PAM8 from the XS1 series is an inductive proximity sensor in a 13 mm cylindrical stainless steel 303 body. Shielded construction allows flush mounting into metal without false triggers from surrounding material – useful when space is tight. PNP normally-open output sources a positive signal to the PLC input; one of the most common wiring schemes for 24V DC control systems. Sensing distance is 3 mm on steel, repeatable within the sensor's rated tolerances. Connector is M8 quick-disconnect, three-wire, eliminating hardwired pigtails for faster swap-out on a line-down event.
Wiring and mounting notes
Three-wire PNP: brown to +12-24V DC, blue to common (0V), black to PLC input; overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit protection built in. Shielded flush mount with visible LED indicator and operating temperature -13 to 158 °F.
