The XS112B3PAM12 is a shielded inductive proximity sensor from the Telemecanique XS1 series, delivering a PNP normally-open output with a maximum sensing distance of 4 mm. Its 17 mm cylindrical brass body, nickel-plated, terminates in an M12 connector — no pigtail to stuff into a gland plate. The sensing face is shielded, so flush mounting in metal is fine: the 4 mm range holds even when the sensor is embedded in a machine frame.
Protection & compliance package
Overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit protection are built in — a solid survival spec for panels where wiring mistakes happen or a sensor gets swapped hot. IP65 and IP67 cover washdown and temporary immersion. The sensor carries CE, CSA, and UL Listing marks, with compliance for marine applications.
Why this one beats a bare-wire sibling
Compared to the XS4P18AB110 (also shielded, 8 mm range, but bare-wire connection and a larger 24 mm body), the XS112B3PAM12 saves panel wiring time with its M12 connector and fits a standard 17 mm mounting hole. The XS4P18AB110’s 8 mm range is wider, but it requires a larger diameter hole and a cable gland. If your panel is wired for M12 quick-disconnects, the XS112B3PAM12 is a faster swap and keeps the wiring neat. No rewiring needed — just plug and fasten the nut.
