Integrator note – fit and output logic
The XS118B3NAM12 is a standard 18 mm threaded barrel inductive proximity sensor from the OsiSense XS range, with an 8 mm flush-mount sensing distance on steel. Output is NPN normally open, sinking up to 200 mA at 12 to 24 VDC. Switching frequency hits 1000 Hz, adequate for most machine position detection but not for high-speed counting above that rate. Connection is a 4-pin M12 male connector — the standard pinout for 3-wire DC sensors, so it plugs directly into most M12 breakout cables. Enclosure rating IP65/67 means it handles wet or dusty environments without extra conduit sealing.
