Fit and function
The XS118B3PAM12: Cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from the XS1 series, built-in M12 connector, shielded sensing face, 8 mm maximum sensing distance. Output is PNP normally open, rated 12-24 VDC. Body is nickel-plated brass rated IP65/IP67, so it handles washdown environments without a separate enclosure. Three protection circuits are integrated: overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit. That means you can skip the external fuse or clamping diode for most inductive loads—the sensor shuts down instead of burning out.
