The XS130B3PAM12 is a current-production Telemecanique inductive sensor from the XS1 series. It's an M30 threaded cylindrical unit with a shielded sensing face, PNP output, normally open contact, and a 4-pin M12 connector. Rated for 12-24 VDC supply, it detects ferrous targets up to 15 mm. Three built-in protections — overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit — make it a robust choice for industrial environments where wiring mistakes or transient faults are common. The brass body with nickel plating adds corrosion resistance for washdown or outdoor installs.
Where it fits and what it replaces
Compared to the XSD series (e.g., XSDH603629), the XS130 is a fixed-range 15 mm shielded unit with a simple PNP NO switch, while the XSDH is an analog output sensor (0-16 mA or 4-20 mA) with a cable connection. Different application — don't substitute without rethinking the control loop.
