What it is and what the ratings mean
The Telemecanique XS130B3PBM12 is a current-production inductive proximity sensor from the XS1 series, specified for M30 threaded mounting with a shielded sensing face. It provides a 15 mm detection range with PNP normally-closed output over a 12-24 VDC supply, via an M12 quick-disconnect connector. The sensor is rated IP65/IP67 on a nickel-plated brass body and includes overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit protection—essential for harsh machine environments where cable faults are common.
How it compares to XSAV02801
When cross-referenced against the XSAV02801, which shares the same 15 mm sensing distance and M30 form factor, the XS130B3PBM12 differs fundamentally in electrical architecture. The XSAV02801 is a 2-wire device operating on 24-210 VDC with a prewired 2 m cable; the XS130B3PBM12 is 3-wire PNP at 12-24 VDC with an M12 connector. These differences in wiring and voltage make the two parts electrically incompatible without a redesign of the sensor circuit.
Mounting and connection
Brass body, 36 mm diameter, 55 mm height, M30 threaded. 4-pin M12 connector; indicator light; IP65/IP67 seal requires clean O-ring and full seating.
