Proximity signal, metal body
The XS1M18MB250: M18 inductive proximity sensor with normally closed output, flush mount rated for 5 mm on ferrous targets. IP68 means it lives in washdown splashes or swarf baths without failing. Metal housing gives some EMC shielding—worth checking the cable run if you're near VFDs or contactors, because noise shows up on the NC line before it trips anything.
Mounting and wiring
Flush mount lets you embed it in a metal bracket without derating the sensing range—good for tight cylinder detection or cam indexing. Cable exit, 2 m length, M18 thread on a 60 mm barrel. Strip back the jacket cleanly; the IP68 seal depends on the cable gland being tight at the sensor end.
