M18 shielded barrel, 5 mm on non-ferrous metal
The XS1M18PAS20D is a shielded M18 tubular inductive proximity sensor from the OsiSense XS series, designed specifically to detect non-ferrous metal targets (aluminium, brass, copper) at a rated sensing distance of 5 mm. Output is PNP normally-open, switching 200 mA at 12–24 VDC, with a switching frequency of 1000 Hz — fast enough for counting or positioning on a moderate-speed conveyor line.
IP67, stainless body, M12 connector
The 304CU stainless steel barrel and PPS sensing face give it washdown resistance to IP67 — the body and the M12 male connector seal hold up in wet or dusty environments, though the connector O-ring is the wet-end barrier, not the housing thread. Approvals include UL, CSA, and CE, so it passes inspection in panels bound for North American or European markets without a separate documentation chase.
