The XS1N30PB349 is a Telemecanique OsiSense XS series shielded tubular inductive proximity sensor with a 30 mm nickel-plated brass barrel, PNP normally-closed output, and a 20 mm flush-mount sensing range on a 12–24 VDC supply. Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal without derating the sensing distance – the full 20 mm range holds even when embedded in a steel mounting block. Rated IP67 and NEMA 3/4X/6P/12/13, so it survives washdown, hose spray, and temporary submersion. Suitable for food, packaging, and outdoor machine stations. Switching frequency is 500 Hz – adequate for counting parts on a moderate-speed conveyor or detecting cylinder position. The 200 mA load current drives a PLC input directly or a small relay.
If your BOM originally called for a 5 mm sensor in a tight location, this 30 mm part will not physically fit without a panel mod. If you need the longer range and have space, the XS1N30PB349 is a valid alternative – but expect a wiring change from NO to NC.
