Integrator note
This is a Telemecanique XS212SAPAL2 M12 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from the XS2 series. It switches on a PNP normally-open output at 8 mm maximum detection range, rated for the harshest washdown environments with IP68 and IP69K ingress protection. The 316L stainless steel body withstands corrosive cleaning agents, while the prewired 2 m cable with bare wire termination connects directly to a PNP input card. Supply voltage is 12–24 V DC, load current up to 200 mA, and the operating temperature range spans -13 to 185 °F.
